About Riderbymyside: You could say Riderbymyside was 11 years in the making. Principal songwriter and guitarist Gregg Morris performed with vocalist (and wife) Kristin Morris throughout Oregon as Organic Music Farm while their daughter Ella studied violin, guitar and piano. As Ella grew up, she would begin to occasionally sit in with the band. Soon, audiences expected Ella—and her fiddle—to be at every gig! Riderbymyside is a Bend-based acoustic band that performs American music ranging from traditional folk and bluegrass to country soul. They blend 3-part harmonies into both hand-crafted originals and timeless covers. Gregg, Kristin & Ella Morris are equally at home playing acoustically in house parties and mic’ed on festival stages. A Riderbymyside set highlights their influences and illustrates their intent on keeping quality music alive. Listen for John Hartford fiddle licks, Richard Thompson guitar lines and Staples Singers harmonies.
